Friendships & the Little Things

Sometimes a friendship can be ruined by just the slightest thing – you never really know what might pull the trigger. One day you’re laughing and having a good time together – the next she won’t even reply to your texts, your messages, nothing. Finally she does, and you find out it’s because of something you might not have even done; but it definatly wasn’t done purposely. One lost necklace and bam, you’ve just lost who you thought would be your best friend forever.
(true story)

A necklace given by someone special can mean a lot – but is it really worth loosing a best friend? For me, no damn way – but apparently not everyone has the same opinion. Material things can be replaced, certain people however, can’t.

I have a different viewpoint on life then a lot of people – enjoy the little things, as well as the not so little things. You never know when your life or someone else’s you love might come to an end. Unfortunately I’ve learned this the hard way.

I guess what I’m saying is to enjoy the little things in life, and don’t over-react when the slightest thing goes wrong – always keep a positive attitude. Like I said, you may never even speak to that person who you once loved again.

  1. aweeeee hunny! that’s so sad 😦

  2. Maybe one sign of maturity is that we don’t let little petty things upset us or ruin friendships. If we are mature we just shrug the little things off and see the big picture, but if we are not mature we make major crisis situations out of trivial things. Unfortunately this means some people never really mature…

  3. i totaly agree on what you just said. liek if you dont enjoy the little things as well as the big things your going to miss out on many things.

  4. I think you’re right, but I also think that, sadly, this is how we’ve begun to see things. If someone steps out of line its a personal attack of us, which is totally wrong. Just make sure at the same time, you don’t let the little things bother you
